MightyText lets you send and receive SMS text messages from your computer using your current phone number from your Android(tm) phone. Text messaging on your phone behaves the same.
(previously listed as Texty / Texter)
Once you install the MightyText Android(tm) App & Chrome Extension, you will be able to:
1) Send SMS text messages from your computer
2) Receive SMS text messages immediately as they come in on your Android(tm) device
3) Sync all SMS text messages from your Android device to your computer
You can still send/receive texts on your phone as you normally would.
You should install the MightyText Chrome Extension only AFTER successfully installing this Android App.

We are different from other apps such as WHATSAPP , Beluga, TextPlus , Voxr, Skype, ebuddy , kakaotalk , Tikl, or kik messenger because we use your EXISTING phone number and SMS inbox on your phone instead of you having to maintain a separate one.
Compatible with these other apps installed (we have tested with a Nexus One running 2.3): Handcent , SMS Backup, SMS Backup Plus, Twitter, Tango, Ringdroid, SMS Popup, SyncSMS, Lightbox, Shazam, Yelp, CrossTXT, LiveProfile, ebuddy, scydo, LauncherPro, Launcher, DesktopSMS, Noled, taskos, kakao, tigertext, pingchat, Tasker, Droid Messenger, PowerAmp, EasySMS, Texdro, YOUTUBE.
Some users have had problems with GoSMS and GoSMSPro running along side MightyText.

If you experience any crashes during configuration of the Android app and need help debugging the issue, please do the following:
- download aLogcat and run it
- clear the logs in aLogcat using menu item in alogcat
- re-create the problem
- copy the log output from aLogCat and send it to info at textyapp dot com
